Shit, I was not a fan of the first (well, the most recent one) Strange Tales series, but now I’m going to have to get this one.

  2. Nate says:

I thought the first one had its moments. That said, I’d really like to see some extended narratives (and the attendant bigger paychecks) for artists inclined to play in the Marvel sandbox.

  3. J. Overby says:

the airbrushin is really working. looks awesome.

I just got the tpb of the first series…there was some real wank from artists I was expecting a lot from, and some pretty good stuff from artists who I was expecting to deliver crud. But whatever the story is it’ll be a treat just to see some new Santoro art! Are you drawing this any bigger than usual, Frank?

  5. That preview page looks sick. Excited to see it. I always fantasized about doing a silver surfer story.

  6. James says:

Nice to see you and your cohorts burning down the bullpen, Frank.

  7. Jeremy says:

Any Santoro drawings of Morbius out there? I’d love to see that.

Frankie kindly gave me a preview of this @ Copacetic a week or so ago. Very beautiful, lingered with me the whole day…still can’t believe he used an airbrush, hated using that crap @ AIP, ugh! Only negative thing i can say about it is…i wish it was more than 4pgs. Oh well, take what ya can get!

Can’t wait to get the real deal in my hand!

“The present splintered on the ground” – a Rites of Spring reference, Frank?

Oh, where was I? I totally could have won that No Prize (I nearly did my a comic dealing with Rites of Spring for my BFA)

The Surfer work looks amazing, Frank. I’m stunned by each image I see. Combined with the Grampa cover, this could be the prettiest comic I’ll own when it comes out.

  11. Blake Sims says:

Very nice indeed! Can’t wait for the 2nd volume, the line-up is looking pretty solid so far.
