Published by FantaCo Enterprises, this fanzine boasts an interview with Jim Shooter, an X-Men checklist, an article on comic book investments, and look at the similarities between the Teen Titans and the X-Men. Apparently there’s a curious parallel in the history of the two “super-kid” teams but the “visual repertoire” of the Teen Titans is lacking according to the article.
Heady stuff, but for me, 30 years later all that I care about is this wacky Beto sketch.

I think that’s Polaris, in her late-70’s getup.
I also hate the fact that this occurred to me instantly.
And I love that someone else said it first so I can pretend like it never occurred to me. Thanks, Gil.
Hence the big magnet she’s jumping through.
Frankie: Please start this new column. I’d LOVE it with all caps.
In the late 70s through mid 80s, Gilbert and Jaime did a bunch of drawings of Marvel and DC characters that were frequently published in the letters column of the COMICS JOURNAL. There must be over two dozen of ’em at least.
I think their drawings also appeared in Amazing Heroes? That’s just a guess from a hazy fanboy memory.
i don’t know where this polaris shame comes from, I think about her multiple times a day, well maybe a week. that green hair, she’s totes my favorite lady x-man. wasn’t she created by Steranko? i thinks he was introduced during his like 2 or 3 issue run on the book shortly before it was canceled.
