I sometimes think Fincher is great. <em>Zodiac<\/em> was a masterpiece. Then there was <em>Benjamin Button<\/em>. No one is perfect. In any case, there are a few oddities here: It&#8217;s funny to me that someone would be SO excited to make an anthology movie based on, I guess, the &#8220;idea&#8221; of an anthology that was last good 25 years ago. On the other hand, I kinda understand it &#8212; <em>HM<\/em> represents a cinema-friendly storytelling style and is ready-made content for CG-fetishists. Assuming this involves work like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=XMUVS8oE1qk&amp;feature=related\"><em>Arzach<\/em><\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Okv91CD6a4U\"><em>RanXerox<\/em><\/a>, as opposed to, oh, I dunno, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecomicshop.com.au\/covers\/postersandprints\/poster-captainsternn02.jpg\"><em>Captain Sternn<\/em><\/a>, it could be rather remarkable. Then again, Kevin Eastman was attached as director, too. So&#8230; oh hell. There was a period when Chris Cunningham was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.variety.com\/article\/VR1117896673.html?categoryid=1246&amp;cs=1\">set to make<\/a> <em>RanXerox<\/em>, which could have truly blown minds and would again make sense since Cunningham worked for Fincher on <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.director-file.com\/cunningham\/fo2081.html\"><em>Alien: Resurrection<\/em><\/a><\/span> <em>Alien 3<\/em>. The whole thing seems to have fallen apart, and while I once even saw some gorgeous production designs online, they seem to have vanished. Alas, I suppose I would just hope for some kind of blowback that sees a <em>RanXerox<\/em>, color-corrected deluxe edition published. Or the complete works of <a href=\"http:\/\/iasos.com\/detalist\/borabora\/BB2-6.jpg\">Sergio Macedo<\/a>.  Etc. Incidentally, here are Cunningham&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.director-file.com\/cunningham\/pr11.html\">designs<\/a> (under the name Chris Halls) for the unfortunately terrible <a href=\"http:\/\/www.internationalhero.co.uk\/d\/dreddss.jpg\">Judge Dredd movie<\/a>.
