I think it has something to do with the fact that you suddenly have a paucity of free time, so you are very careful hwo you choose to spend that time; thus the time that I would have spent pre-kids playing a dumb video game I now spend writing or drarwing or reading. The moment I knew it was in the death throes of viability for me was when i was on the set of Fast and Furious 5 up to my elbows in burnt grease scraping out a trailer meat smoker in the August Atlanta sun and Vin Diesel rides by on a motorized scooter slows down next to me and says “Living the life eh? Livin the life”
